Alta installed Utah's first double chair — the Collins Lift — back in 1939, and this design puts it front and center: a small open-air chairlift sprite swings gently along a thin cable line, rendered in faded rust orange, denim blue, cream, and black, a palette that looks like it's been sitting in a gear shed for eighty years. Near the base, a rope-tow handle hangs as a quiet callback to an even older era of getting up the mountain, before chairs existed at all. The whole composition carries a deliberately worn texture in its corners, like a game cartridge label that's been handled a few thousand times too many. This is also one of the last resorts in the country that still won't let a snowboard on the lift — a detail the design doesn't spell out, but the whole vintage-mechanical mood leans into it anyway. A skier sprite works its way down the steep terrain below, scanlines settling over the image as always.
